Eyeballs have been in focus here lately (pun fully intended), as I went to my first ever eye exam and received my first ever prescription for glasses.
I is also one of the many letters of the alphabet that Aria names consistently, correctly, and with great joy. It is accompanied by P, R, S, O, A, W, U, H, L, and T. K, X, and Y are often mistaken for each other. V is sometimes named "Y" and N is pretty consistently "M." It's really fun to watch Aria's enthusiasm for noticing and naming the objects in her world. She has been tackling colors with great enthusiasm as well.
We spent a weekend at a hotel in Sacramento, as I had meetings to attend both days. We got there, dropped our stuff and headed out for a quick dinner. As we hurried back to try to achieve a reasonable bedtime, Aria was already exclaiming "hotel" very enthusiastically. She quickly fell in love with the elevator and is still talking about it.
OK, on to some pictures. When I came home from the aforementioned eye exam, my dark glasses became a big hit. We all had to try them on. Here's Aria, of course.
And Yours Truly.
Papa joined in.
As did Uncle Ethan.
Aria was even so considerate as to offer them to the big, big waccoon,
who accepted.
Carmen the monkey was next.
Chikin (our very lovely nanny) has been having great fun with Aria and Stella. I came home yesterday to find this photo in my camera:
