Here is Aria, dutifully demonstrating for the camera what the Kissy Monster says.
Now you know.

Halloween
Need I say more?
We had a Halloween morning outing with Tita Tricia and Kawayan, ogling costumes at the Noe Valley farmer's market. Then we attempted a restaurant breakfast with only minimal success...
...as you can see.
Then, after nap, the uncles showed up in full Halloween form, along with Victoria.

Victoria was quick and caught Aria singing her favorite song. (Notice Uncle Ivan in the bear costume.)

Birthday Fun
So my fabulous partner bought me a really nice new digital camera that also takes video. Cool. I had a fun birthday yesterday and many pictures were taken. Here's a sampling. Maybe even some video, if I can figure out how to do that.
Apparently, Aria takes breakfast and high chairs as seriously as she does playing.
Stella is showing off her band-aid.
Stuffed baby ostriches are serious business too.
As is present opening. Aria's Uncle Beastie and Aunt Toria brought her presents, lest she feel left out when Mama got hers.
We were even joined, via phone, by the one and only Mr. Sean Riley. He has quite a singing voice. Did you know?

My friend Alexis watches Aria show off her counting skills.
This cute little counting book was ONE of her THREE presents from her uncle. Who's birthday was it? But no, they did not forget me.
Nana and Papa look on.
Counting in action. I wish I could figure out how to post video. I keep trying and it looks like it's working, but then I get error messages that don't tell me anything. Anyway, if I ever figure it out, I'll post the video of the counting. Very sweet.

Aria is in awe of Bella, as evidenced here by the adoring gaze.
More counting fun.
Aria insisted on having Bella carry her. Bella was a trooper, although she's not that much larger.
The sweet and happy sisters.
Like I said, play is serious.
I just like this shot of Aria, Bella, and Victoria on the tire swing with Papa looking on.
