3 Months Old!

Time flies! We can't believe that on Sunday our little Aria will be 3 months old. (And that we will have 3 months of parenting under out belts!)

Aria keeps growing and changing and learning at an amazing pace. Yes, changing so quickly. The minute we think we have something figured out about her likes, dislikes, habits or desires, they change. A few days ago I was concerned that we had birthed the world's very first 3 month old who doesn't nap. But then the past few days, she has been napping frequently and serenely. She can go from extremely happy and pleased to very (loudly) unhappy amazingly quickly. And, just as quickly, she can go back.

She seems to be getting more and more amenable to spending time in places other than her mommy's or daddy's (or nana's) arms. She's enjoying her little vibrating rocky chair (Thanks to Michelle for that!) for long stretches of time - sometimes even longer than 10 minutes. She's playing with her playgym. She likes being able to see the world and she's taking it all in. She's getting more and more verbal as each day passes and her spells of laughter are more frequent and even more adorable.

Fun on the changing table:

That little toothless grin...

She's discovered that she has hands and that they can almost fit in her mouth.

Sucking on her hands used to mean just "Mama, I'm hungry!" But now life isn't so simple.

Yes the hand is fascinating, but so is that camera!

She can sit up (with back support) for quite a long time now. These next two pictures were taken two whole weeks ago.

Starting to tip...

Aria has now decided that, okay, I GUESS toys are kind of interesting. At least her playgym is! She wiggles and laughs

and stares

and squirms

and poses for very serious photographs.

Thanks to all you blog-checkers for your patience. I'm back to working again (part-time from home, but still...) and it's challenging to find time to post. But stick with us. I am hoping that the posts are worth the wait. And if you just can't wait so long to get a look at the star of the show, just give us a call and drop by for a visit!
